“Official Bio”

Cory Levy is currently an 18 year-old senior student at Emery High School, a secondary parochial school in Houston, Texas. In the past few years, Cory commenced pursuing his two basic interests, entrepreneurship and tennis. To implement his instinctive business interest, Cory created a web-based sports memorabilia store, which successfully marketed autographed tennis sports paraphernalia resulting from Cory’s relationships with many of the world’s leading tennis stars. This interest was cultivated as an adjunct to his competitive tennis talents. Cory is a fierce tennis competitor, having been involved in competitive tennis throughout the state of Texas and has been recognized as one of the top 100 juniors in Texas. This competitiveness gained from his tennis experience, greatly influenced his young desire to be successful in the business world. Cory’s unabashed Internet networking communication skills led him to many Internet relationships with several successful world-renowned entrepreneurs whom Cory has attempted to emulate and learn from.

During the summers of ’08 and ’09, at the young age of 16 and 17, Cory interned at two of the top venture capital firms on both the west and east coasts – Union Square Ventures and the Founders Fund. Additionally, he interned at a startup accelerator, TechStars, in Boulder, Colorado. From these internships, Cory obtained exposure and experience in the startup environment not enjoyed by people much older than him.  Cory is the Executive Producer of NextGen Conference, a conference bringing together young entrepreneurs with more experienced entrepreneurs hosted at Stanford University.

Emanating from intense entrepreneurial interest, at a very young age, Cory was provided the opportunity to acquire equity interests in certain startup companies in consideration for valuable advice provided by Cory. He was able to ingratiate himself with outstanding people in the Internet arena who provided Cory with important information for him to continue to pursue his passion. As a result of these relationships, Cory was asked as a 17 year-old to speak at Duke University where he lectured in February ’09 and September ’09 and at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in October ‘09.  Cory’s outstanding recognition at such an early age cannot be adequately measured in any definitive manner. It certainly provides a hint of what his future achievements might be.
